Abstract

Purpose: To develop the IPE-Sim based dementia management program for community-dwelling older adults with dementia.

Methods: The educational program was developed using the five phases of the ADDIE model. Methods: The educational program was developed using the five phases of the ADDIE model.

Results: The scenario's goals were established according to the learning needs survey and learning objectives. The program scenario was developed using BASC, a tool for simulation scenario creation.
The final scenario¡¯s content validity was verified by experts. The final program template comprised five components. In the scenario section, the roles of five interprofessional characters were set and a standardized patient portrayed an older adult with dementia.

Conclusion: The IPE-Sim based dementia management program for community-dwelling older adults with dementia can be expected to improve collaboration among professionals. Thus, it is an effective evidence-based approach for managing dementia in the community.
